Job description

Duties may include: Receive and store food supplies and equipment in proper storage areas. Record temperature of food and food storage areas. Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly and when food and supplies are getting low. Carry supplies and equipment to and from storage and work areas. Butcher and clean shellfish and fish to prepare for cooking or serving. Weigh or measure ingredients and keep detailed records. Prepare shellfish and fish according to supervisors' instructions, following appropriate procedures. Cut, slice or grind shellfish and fish to prepare for cooking. Portion and wrap the food and store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Clean work areas, equipment and/or dishes and remove trash & other related Crab Backer activities as per SOC/OES 35-2021 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Multiple possible shifts: 7:00AM-3:30PM or 3:30PM-12:00AM. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Delivery and availability of seafood product from fisherman may result in possible downtimes due to weather conditions.
