Job description
The job may include, but is not limited to: snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of winter animal quarters, and farm machinery and equipment maintenance, service, and repair.
The employer will train the employee on proper handling of any machinery or equipment used in the position. Work is demanding in varying weather conditions, may involve living up to 50 pounds, and may include sitting for extended periods of time and exposure to inclement weather.
One month of similar general agricultural and vehicle maintenance experience required as well as a High School diploma/GED. Alternate work may be required during extended inclement weather conditions. Alternate work may include but is not limited to assisting with feeding and watering livestock and monitoring food and water supplies, and other livestock care.
Special skills and qualifications required, not preferred, to do this job include: at least a high-school diploma, valid driver's license for length of job order, and the ability to withstand extensive sitting, repetitive movements, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to inclement weather depending on farm activities. Employer will train.
The employer will furnish without cost all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. 20 CFR 655.122(f). A minimum of 35 hours of work per week is guaranteed, although more hours will be available over 35. Any overtime above 35 hours is optional, and not mandatory for worker/s.
