Job description
Harvest duties to include hedging pecan Trees and clearing the debris, thinning, pruning of the trees, stacking harvested product in assigned areas, grading, sanitizing. Planting tree seedlings, transplanting weeding; covering harvested pecans. Loading/unloading, packing unpacking harvested pecans (conveyor belts, loading machines, separators, cleaners, dryers, sorting machine, trucks etc). Driving tractors will be required to conduct the harvesting. Such as tractors with farming implements used while plowing. Irrigating, planting row crops, and cutting/bailing hay. Tractors duck cart implement, shaker, combines, grain carts. Employee will be provided all equipment free of charge and are required to maintain equipment and clean work areas daily. Workers may be required to assist repair care for farming machinery or irrigation lines (pumps, ditches) if need be for in order for harvesting tasks to be conducted. Workers may assist at storage facility with pecan inventory labeling, boxing, shipping and receiving. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs frequently Transportation provided to jobsite from central location
Special Requirements
Experience as farmworker Must pass employer paid post hire drug test
