Job description
Duties include sheep shearing and installing farm and ranch fencing.
Workers will have to be able to conduct both fencing and shearing
When shearing sheep workers will shear wool from live sheep, using power-driven clippers or hand shears. Place animal in the shearing
station. Lead sheep to pen. Oils and sharpens clippers and shears all provided at no cost. Workers will shear sheep, maintaining their work areas where these duties are conducted.
When workers are fencing, duties include installing farm and ranch fences. Workers will be required to installing and removing barbed wire fences within the ranch worksite area. The removal process is taking out metal post and removing all damaged barbwire and any debris that is obstructing their path. In the installation process workers will need to prepare acreage in order for new installation process to begin. Most fences will be made up of metal T post, cedar post, pipe, net wire, barbwire. Workers will be using heavy equipment while installing fences. Workers maybe lifting to 40lbs and walk extensively while conducting these tasks. Maybe required to build holding pens needed as holding station, water station for the livestock or building the gates for the fence. Workers may be required to repair equipment, mechanical repairs or maintenance on equipment being used to conduct task .
