Job description
The workers will perform a routine of mixing manure with water to make it a liquid fertilizer. Duties include: lifting, pushing and connecting hose to machinery, add water to the swamp, shovel left over manure of truck, and remove the manure from the edges of the swamp using hoes under the supervision of a foreman. Use tools such as hose, shovels, hoes, and run off/on machinery. Perform physically strenuous activities such as lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 lbs. in variable weather conditions (heat and cold) outdoors.
Special Requirements
No experience required. Employer will train the workers. Workers must have the ability to communicate in English or Spanish is required for training and safety purposes. Work is performed outdoors in open fields and can involve exposure to sun, wind, mud, dust, heat, cold and other elements of the normal field environment. Temperatures can range from 50 degrees F to over 90 degrees F during the period of employment. Workers should come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for the work and working conditions described.
