Job description

We raise beef cattle along with feeder cattle. We breed and calve heifer and cows in the winter months, late December through March. We need seasonal employees to assist during the calving season. Help feed cattle and calves while confined during the calving season. Assist with cleaning out pens, refresh bedding. Check on cows during calving. Vaccinate as required. Must be available to assist with calving and new calves as needed. After the winter the cattle are sent to pastures for grazing and no manual feeding or care of animals are needed. They stay in the pastures until the next winter. Employees will also need to assist in planting grain in the spring and harvesting crops in the summer. Employees will need to operate tractors, combines and other farm equipment in order to complete these tasks.

Special Requirements

Regular Driver's License and 3 months of farm experience and working with cattle. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme temperatures.
