Job description
Must be able to follow supervisor’s instructions. Operate agricultural equipment to load and unload grain in and out of grain bins and grain trucks. Grain conditioning. Haul rice, soybeans, and corn to bins, elevators and market; receiving rice crops for drying storage at drying grain facility; cleaning out grain bins, surrounding site and work areas; dispose of spoiled grain from pit and elevator area. Workers will also perform duties such as shop work, post and preseason inspections and maintenance and winterization of equipment. Workers may prepare fields for planting. Workers may drive other workers to/from grocery store once a week. OFLC Administrator publishes new AEWR rates yearly and we reserve the right to adjust our job order to the new published rate regardless of rate increases or decreases. Raises and bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker, at the employer’s discretion, based on individual factors including but not limited to, performance, experience, number of hours worked in the season, number of seasons worked with the company, adherence to work rules and ability to follow supervisor’s instructions.
Special Requirements
Valid Drivers License required to operate the companys vehicles or must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. Employer may conduct background check to all new applicants at the owners expense. No minimum education required. Three (3) month experience in operating, maintaining, repairing farm machinery. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to the workers. Must be able to lift 5 - 60 lbs. The majority of the workday is spent on ones feet and outdoors. Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach and lift with extensive walking. Worker must be able to withstand working in the direct sunlight and weather conditions ranging from hot and humid weather, moderate rain and cold while performing their required job duties.
