Job description

Vineyard Work: prune, sucker, trellis, organic spray, irrigate, net, and harvest plants. Manage soil and install and maintain irrigation components.
Ranch Work: install and maintain fencing and ranch landscape, repair irrigation lines, maintain farm vehicles (basic oil change, filters, tire pressure), maintain farm buildings, and sometimes help move cattle
Vegetable planting: plant, irrigate, fertilize, prune, weed, and harvest vegetables.

Special Requirements

This is a diversified farm, so the Department will need to refer workers with a wide range of experience. This is common in todays farming operations. If there is a difference in pay, the employer recognizes that he would be responsible for the higher rate of pay. Farmworkers are involved with grape and vegetable production on the farm, and there is also limited ranch work.

Did you know that... there are 2 types of H-2 visas?

Agricultural workers get H-2A visas. H-2B workers are in non-agricultural jobs like construction.
