Job description
Monitor beehives. Feed and medicate bees. Treat beehives for mites. Increase and split beehives. Transport bee hives from bee yards to the honey extraction plant. Harvest, extract and package honey. Build and repair bee boxes and other beekeeping equipment. Clean and maintain equipment. Sterilize all honey extraction equipment. Winterize all beekeeping facilities and equipment at the end of the season.
Special Requirements
Must be able to provide references to verify experience. Must be able to work for the entire itinerary and join the employer at any one of the locations that the employer has a crew located at that time. No fear of/non-allergic to bees/pollen. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively. Drivers license in 30 days. Clean driving record required.
