Job description

Duties may include: Sorting, grading, butchering, cleaning, weighing, cutting, filleting, trimming, inspecting and boxing various seafood products; unloading, loading, and moving seafood products and supplies throughout the production process; operating plant machinery, inspecting product, loading product, boxes, pallets or carts of product into or out of freezers or refrigerated vans; preparing packaging materials, performing support functions such as tallying the product at various stages of the process or inspecting the product, guiding product into the automated machinery; cleaning and sanitizing the work area & other related Meat, Poultry, and Fish Cutters and Trimmers activities as per SOC/OES 51-3022 (onetonline.org).

Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Delivery and availability of seafood product from fisherman may result in possible downtimes due to weather conditions.
