Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time and may include all the following job specifications:

Commitee Meetings/Training: Meetings or Training

Field Clean Up: Any field clean up, bailing plastic, pick up string, and shovel ends plastic.

Irrigation/Laying Pipe: Laying pipe & checking sprinklers for irrigation.

Pull & Placing pipe: Pulling and placing pipe in field.

Pull Plastic: Remove plastic and drip tape, gather plastic, drip tape and place at ends of rows.

Cutting String: Cutting string from plant bed or field, gather string to the ends of the field or walkways.

Remove Stakes: Pick up stakes and place them into bundles, then load onto the field trucks.

Staking: Setting out (standing and pounding) stakes, fixing, and strapping stakes.

Tomato Picking: Pick round tomatoes from plants until the bucket is full.

Weeding: Walk the fields and pull weeds from the growing area as directed.

The employer will provide the tools necessary to perform the described job duties without charge to the worker. The employer will charge the worker for reasonable costs related to the worker's refusal or negligent failure to return the tools, or due to such worker's willful damage or destruction of the tools.
