Job description

Duties may include: operate commercial application equipment or agricultural tractor for the purpose of applying crop inputs to producer fields. Operate and maintain single or tandem axle trucks, multi-axle configuration trucks, deliver and/or pick up of agronomy and/or energy products and other equipment. Assist in manufacturing of feed, applies crop production inputs to fields and growing drops according to recommended rates, procedures and following all pesticide labels. Records application data, set up material handling, blending, storage, transport and application equipment for blending and delivery of products. Safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks, tractors and other equipment, perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and associated equipment, conduct pre-trip inspections such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights and breaks. Responsible for inventory control and turns in application records on daily basis. Schedule maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested. Maintain service records of each piece of equipment and vehicle. Responsible for housekeeping of the shop and general maintenance of ship and equipment. Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products. Adhere to safety rules and must adhere to EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures at all times & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid Driver's License in the State of Illinois within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
