General Farm Worker

Job description

Employees will drive and operate farm machinery, tractors with towed equipment such as bale processors, scaled feeder wagons to feed cattle over the winter months daily. They will check pens for straw bedding needed, water supply and health of the animals. Calving will start in mid-February, they will assist in caring for new born, barn cleaning and health issues of the calves. Routine maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, buildings, grounds, and fencing will need to be done. Workers need to work independently after given instructions.

Employees must have a valid driver's license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Cell phone usage is limited to business related calls only. NO TEXTING.
No smoking in vehicles, housing, or equipment. No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours otherwise discouraged. No Educational level required.
Must have three months tractor driving with towed implements and farm related equipment experience.
