Job description
Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, spray, spread, and harvest. Attach farm implements to tractors, trucks, and combines. Till soil; plant, spread, spray, and harvest crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Work in a packing house facility to load and unload potatoes that are 100% grown by employer. Operate fork lift, loader, or backhoe. Handle and mix chemicals and fertilizer safely and properly. Operate, check, and maintain center pivot irrigations. General lubrication, service, mechanical repairs, and overhauls to farm machinery and trucks. Drive manual grain or potato trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Unload grain semi-trucks and trailers using augers and clean out storage bins. Operate grain dryer and grain tanks. Workers are asked to maintain a clean working area and clean farm equipment using a pressure washer when needed. Other assigned seasonal tasks.

Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
