Bee Keeper

Job description

Duties include:
Transporting bees and boxes to designated locations, set up and over see the sight. Employees will check on a regular route of each site and the status of the bees, hives and will extract honey from the hives. They will check for damages or any other mishaps that occur. Workers will do minor repairs and regular maintenance on all transportation vehicles, trailers and other equipment used as well as structures.

ln the fall the bees will be conditioned and transported to their Texas location by US workers. H2A workers will set up the bee hive locations and set up a weekly route to check for any mishaps, water conditions and the health of the bees. Splitting of the hives will have to be done as we[[ extraction of honey. ln the spring of the year workers will help load bee boxes, equipment, and supplies for the bees to be transported back to the location in South Dakota for the summer months where the US workers will be able to help for the summer months." At this time Alex Hollman H/2A Honey will be able to handle the work load himself in South Dakota

No smoking or drinking of alcohol beverages during working hours. Cell phone usage will be limited to business calls only. NO TEXTING. No education level required.

Three months bee keeping experience and minor mechanical experience required.
Must have a valid drivers license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Capable of doing excessive lifting up to 50 lbs.,
No allergic reactions to bee stings.
