Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Perform duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Must be able to run poly pipe irrigation, run pivot irrigation and dig water furrows. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Work around grain bins for grain storage and drying. Cut weeds.

Crops: Cotton, Rice, Soy Beans

Equipment: 295 HP tractor, 425 HP tractors, dirt pan, planters, backhoe, spray rig, bedders

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
