Straw Baler

Job description

After the grower/landowner cultivates the pine trees, that are marked by the forestry division the workers will be manually gathering pine straw by raking, baling, stacking, grading, sorting, and tying. Workers will clean field by picking up sticks, before raking. Workers will also perform cleaning and weeding tasks. Workers may lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work in inclement weather conditions including extremely hot, humid, cold, and/or rainy weather. Three months of verifiable farm-work experience required.

Special Requirements

The employer will only conduct a drug test only if the worker (employee) is in a work-related accident. The drug testing will be at the employers expense. If the worker fails the drug test or refuses the drug testing, this will be probable cause for termination of employment.
