Job description
We farm around 2,000 acres of corn, cotton, soybeans, sesame and rice. We need seasonal employees to complete general farm duties including field work to plant, raise and harvest these crops. Employees will need to operate farm equipment including tractors, planters, tillers and harvesting equipment. Employees will prepare the fields for planting which include spreading fertilizer and tilling fields, planting crops, watering rice, spraying crops and harvest crops when ready. Complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Must have a CDL or equivalent or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job require extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, walking, frequent stooping, repetitive movements and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire background screenings and post-hire drug testing at no cost to the employee. Failing a drug test will result in termination to enforce a drug-free workplace policy. Employer will not hire anyone with a violent or theft criminal background. Require 3 months experience.
