Job description

Perform duties like: Drive and operate potato equipment to plant, cultivate, harvest and store potatoes in Arizona. Till soil; plant and cultivate winter potatoes. Pay attention to crop quality and sort as needed. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive potato trucks to transport potatoes to storage area and packing facility on the farm. Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations. Organize warehouse and work area on the farm. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Will be responsible for building and yard repair as well as various projects that worker may be assigned. Must keep accurate and detailed field and crop records. 10 employees will be expected to drive several hours to the Oklahoma worksite to pick up potato tubers. Employer agrees that worker may interrupt drive time and stay at a employer approved and employer paid for hotel.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
