Landscape Laborer

Job description

Duties May include: Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, watering, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, litter and debris, pruning, mowing, edging, or trimming around flower beds, walks, or walls. Install and maintain irrigation systems. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage. Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs, and apply mulch for protection. Use hand tools, such as, shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmer to prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, on ground level. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axel vehicles, electric clippers, sod cutters, edgers, or pruning saws & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org).

Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or OT.
