Job description
We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop farming. Our full season runs from March until December. We raise and harvest corn, soybeans and hay. Employees will need to assist with all functions regarding crop production including operating farm equipment such as tractors, planters, spraying equipment and harvesting equipment. During the months of April until June we confine our cattle for calving. While confined cattle need intensive care and it is labor intensive. Employees will need to assist with calving out cattle, checking cattle and feeding cattle. After June cattle are sent out to pasture for grazing and no further help is needed. From April until June they will need to take care of pasture health while the cattle is confined for June when they return to pasture. During the summer employees will need to assist with fix and build fences where needed. Starting in mid-September we start our harvesting season where employees will assist with harvesting and hauling of crop until the end of the season. Employees will need to assist with equipment maintenance, yard maintenance and other farm duties as needed.
Special Requirements
We will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to employee. We will not employ anyone with a violent/theft criminal background. We require a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days to haul harvested crops to storage. Require 3 months experience.
