Job description
Our farm consists of 650 acres of corn, 90 acres of coastal bermudagrass hay, and 140 acres of blueberries. We use modern mechanized equipment for all operations. The products that we produce are hauled with tractor trailers and semi-truck driving is required. We begin our operation with spraying cover crops in early March, followed by planting, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting, hauling, and replanting cover crop. These activities are steady throughout the season as we move through corn to blueberries to hay and normally conclude in early December. Employees will complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
