Job description
We are family farming operation that grows commodity grains, corn & soybeans. We need a seasonal employee to assist with our crop season. Employee will need to assist with preparing farm machinery for do field work, complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment including changing oil, greasing, repairing, fixing equipment, putting parts together and installing new parts. Must be able to complete general mechanic duties. Employee will need to fix farm drainage tile and installing new drainage tile. Check air pressure in tires, clean, wash and wax equipment for storage after field use. Employee will be running large farm equipment. Employee must have experience driving large tractors with equipment pulled behind and experience with GPS guided equipment. Employee will help with planting of corn and soybean, tending the crops, picking rock and completing general farm duties through the summer months. In the fall the employee will assist with harvesting corn and soybeans.
Special Requirements
Employer will conduct post-hire drug testing at employer's expense to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing
a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the
employee and will not employ anyone with a violent/theft criminal background to ensure safety of employees.
Employee must have a regular driver's license and must be able to attain a US driver's license. Require 3 months
experience.
