Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Crops: Durum, Lentils, Peas

Equipment: Case equipment all newer, Combines, sprayers, Quad tracks, Bourgault drill, rock picker, semis, grain cleaning equipment, some construction equipment as well, including side dump trailer, maintainer, backhoe and skid steer

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
