Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Equipment: Case IH 9240 combine with 40 foot mac don draper heads, 340 Case IH Magnum on 1300 bushel grain cart, 720 Fendt Loader Tractor, 724 Fendt Loader Tractor, Case IH 620 quad tracks, Horsch 60 foot air seeders, Case IH 440 patriot sprayer, 40 foot booms, Peterbilt 379 Freightliner, FLD120 40 foot Wilson grain trailer, 50 foot Timpte grain trailer, Grain Vac, Numerous Grain Augers, Schulte Rock Picker, Land Roller, Schulte Batwing Mower

Crops: Barley, Canola, Dry Peas, Durum, Flax Seed, Lentils, Soy Beans, Spring Wheat, Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
