Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate current farm equipment to plant, cultivate, bale hay with round baler, spray, harvest and store grain crops. Drive semi-truck. Attach farm implements, such as, but not limited to: plow, disc, air seeder, anhydrous tanks and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate newer self-propelled combine. Have some knowledge of farm chemical sprays and self-propelled crop sprayer. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Must have experience driving semi-trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Must have welding experience.

Crops: Alfalfa, Canola, Corn, Durum, Peas, Soy Beans, Wheat.

Equipment: Newer John Deere Equipment, Semi trucks and trailers used for transporting grain.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Minimum high school education because of computerized equipment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
