Job description
Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain, cotton, tobacco, and sweet potatoes. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, mower, and drill/planter to tractor. Till soil; plant, cultivate, fertilize, spray crops (general crop care). Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, cotton picker, and tobacco harvester. Drive and operate self-propelled sprayers. General maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, service (check fluids), and mechanical repair (including light welding) to farm machinery. Drive trucks/repurposed buses and semi's to transport crops to elevator or storage facility. Drive trucks/repurposed buses to transport water to sprayers. Operate forklift and loader to load/unload crops onto trucks.
Equipment: Tractors(various sizes and models), Implements(i.e. grain cart, buggies, mowers, cultivators, planters, tillage), Combine, Tobacco Harvester, Pickup Trucks, 2-Ton Trucks(Automatic and Manual Transmissions), Semi-Trucks and trailers, Cotton Picker, Self-propelled sprayers, Forklift/Loader.

Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers' expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
