Job description

We need seasonal employees to assist with production agriculture, planting, spraying, fertilizing and
harvesting corn, soybeans, and all other crops on a farm. List of equipment to operate: tractors, skid
steer, spreader truck, sprayer truck, semi and straight trucks, planter, hand tools and combine. In the
spring, employees will need to complete routine maintenance and repairs on all trucks, trailers and
mobile equipment by cleaning, detailing, maintain engines and transmission and complete
inspections. This also include full-body repairs, part replacement and general mechanical work.
Starting in April through September, employees will need to plant crops, corn, soybeans, etc., spread
fertilizer, mowing, spray corn, soybean, and alfalfa fields and haul fertilizer. Fertilizer equipment
operator. Attach farm implements, such as a plow, disc and planter to tractor and help with in-field
repairs. Till soil and cultivate crops. Employees will also need to help maintain the buildings and
grounds. In August through December, employees will need to harvest crops, corn, soybeans, etc.,
haul grain from fields to dryer and dryer to terminal. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive grain trucks to
elevator or storage area. Haul and apply fertilizer.

Special Requirements

Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Frequent stooping or bending and repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The employer has a drug free workplace and will conduct post-hire drug screening at no cost to the employee, due to the liability of driving heavy equipment and trucks on public roads.
Employer requires post-hire background check at no cost to the employee, due to expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass drug screening and/or background check will result in termination of employment. Must have 3 months experience. No minimum education required. Employer may pay performance based incentive bonuses at the end of the contract period at the employers discretion. Employer may provide pay increases for longevity and verifiable experience.
