Job description
Greenhouse seeding work. Planting of transplants in field and greenhouse. Cultivation of field and greenhouse crops. Harvesting of fruit and vegetable crops including: tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots, garlic, beets, cauliflower, strawberries. Wash, pack, fill orders. Duties may include: tilling soil, use of hand tools such as hoes, shovels, weeding, washing of food processing area, containers, refrigerators. May drive and operate farm equipment. Work is performed outdoors in all weather, sometimes under extremely hot, cold, dry and wet conditions. Work is physically demanding, and requires extreme endurance. Work may require operating machinery, heavy lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and carrying up to 50lbs on a regular basis. At least 2 months experience in duties listed required.
Special Requirements
Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
