Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store forage crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled chopper and mower. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Help in the general maintenance of the farm buildings as well as the equipment. Drive silage trucks to transport crops to bagger or storage area. Spray crops. Assist with liquid and solid manure on the farm.

Equipment: JD 7200 forage harvester, JD 4995 windrower, JD 7260R, JD6170R, JD6430 Premium, JD 7520, JD 7320 loader, NH6050 Elite loader, JD8120 with Degelman blade, JD 1770 NT with row shutoffs, Vermeer no till drill, Houle 5300 gal. manure tank, Claas double rotary rake and tedder, NH 740A round baler, NH5070 square baler, three silage trucks, two silage carts, Hardi sprayer. Four tractors have autosteer, planter has row clutches.

Crops: Triticale, Hay, Corn

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
