Job description

Job duties include but is not limited to:
Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill tractor. Till soil, rock picking, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine.
Manual labor, drain excess water from crops, assist in irrigation of crops.
Put crop in bins as well as remove grain.
Chop weeds.
General lubrication, service (check fluids), and perform incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive semi-trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.
Maintain and clean agricultural buildings and yards.

Crops: Corn, rice, soybeans and wheat.

Special Requirements

Must know GPS guidance.
Minimum of 3 (three) months experience required.
Workers must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire.
Work is being done outside and workers will be exposed to extreme temperatures and humid conditions.
Duties require manual labor that involves extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping, and repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
Due to the presence of children on the farm and the liability of driving on roads and/or driving big expensive machinery, a drug screening and/or criminal background check will be required post-hire at the employer's expense. Failure to pass drug screening and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment with our company.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
