Job description

Perform duties like drive, operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store crops such as cotton, soybeans, wheat, oats, and corn. Workers need to be able to attach farm implements, such as a harrow, planter, grain cart, disc and drill to tractor. Workers need to be able to till soil, plant, chop weeds, clean grain bins, clean shops, clean equipment and cultivate grain. Workers need to be able to drive, operate or use the following farming equipment and tools: combine, tractor, MFWD tractor, utility tractor, forklift, Tele handler, backhoe, track hoe, crane, lift truck, fuel truck, semi-truck, 1 ton truck, 2 ton Bob truck, pickup truck, ATV, side by side, bulldozer, plasma cutter, drill, lathe, air seeder, twin row planter, single row planter, 3 pt. drill, field cultivators, Kelley tool, land plain, dirt buggy, dike plow, roller, mower, 3 pt. blade, grain cart, strip till, chisel plow, welder, torch, misc. hand tools, sprayers, GPS Guidance systems, semi trucks, hopper Trailers. Workers will perform a variety of duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery and driving grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Special Requirements

No minimum education required. There is a minimum of 2-months experience in general farming activities. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. - All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to workers. A drivers license is required. The worker must be able to obtain a CDL within 30-60 days of hire. The majority of the workday is spent on ones feet and outdoors. Workers may stand in one place for any period of time. Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach and lift, extensive walking. Work is performed in outdoor agricultural fields and involves exposure to sun, wind, rain, soil, mud, dust, heat, cold and other natural elements. Workers must be able to withstand working in the direct sunlight and weather conditions ranging from hot and humid weather, moderate rain and cold while performing their required job duties.
