Job description

Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant and cultivate, transport flowers. Attach farm implements, such as wagons/trailer to a tractor. Tow trailer behind a tractor, transport products/flowers to storage area, inside and outside of greenhouse facilities as well as between different farms within a 50 miles radius belonging to the nursery group. Load onto box trucks carts with racks full of flowers and pot plants, transport the flowers/plants to stores and market facilities and offload the flowers and posts. Pick plants. General assistance with maintenance of the greenhouse facilities, and repair equipment and farm machinery.

Equipment: Tractors.

Crops: Annuals, Bulbs.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers' expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
