Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: Seeding, spraying, cultivating and harvesting row crops. Attach farm implements to tractors. Must be able to perform basic maintenance on farm equipment such as oil changes, greasing, cleaning air filters, adjusting chains. Drive semi-trucks to deliver grain to elevator. Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems including T-L pivots, Valley pivots, Zimmatic pivots and Cummins irrigation engines. Understand and use John Deere AMS guidance and documentation systems.

Crops: Corn, Cotton, Milo, Soybeans, Wheat

Equipment: Tractors, Sprayers, Cotton strippers, Combines, Planters, Pivot irrigation

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
