Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

Perform duties on a farm for a farm like: Apply dry and/or liquid fertilizer to farm fields. Pump
dry and liquid fertilizer from our storage tanks into the nurse tanks and pull type spreaders.
Operate field equipment such as self- propelled sprayers and/or deliver dry fertilizer for dry
plants to spreaders. Incidental duties include: Deliver seed, chemicals, water, dry fertilizer to
the farmers and also to field operators. Calculate blends, batch the blends, then pump the
blends into storage tanks on vehicles. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental
repair to farm machinery. Cleaning and maintaining the shop building and company vehicles.

Equipment: Dry fertilizer spreaders, Terragators, Sprayers, Payloader, Forklift, Skidsteer, Semi
Tractors & Straight trucks, tractors, and pickups.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Random drug screening required post-hire at employer's expense due to liability of driving heavy equipment and trucks. Criminal background check required post-hire at employer's expense due to expensive equipment and tools. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Must be able to obtain a driver's license and CDL within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
