Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and sprayer. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Mow and care for landscape on farm. Employees are also asked to use mowers both push and riding. We also have a seed cleaning and treating facility. We store a lot of our grain using grain bins as well as a grain bagger and augers to move grain around.

Crops: Corn, Winter Wheat, Soybeans

Equipment: tractors, self-propelled combines, a sprayer, and trucks

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
