Farm Laborer

Job description

Perform a variety of plant care and maintenance at tree and shrub farm. Fertilize, prune, spray, space, water, tag, mulch, and transplant plants. Dig holes using hand tools, maximum depth and width of 12 inches, holes are to plant. Fill, lift and carry pots, load finished plants onto trucks for distribution. Plant, maintain, spray, water, cultivate & harvest pumpkin gourds and corn. Perform general maintenance of growing, storage and holding property. Operate and maintain farm equipment. Involves bending, stooping, lifting, stretching and being on feet for long periods on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift 50 lbs often, work in extreme weather conditions. Offer 401K retirement with 4% match after 1 year or for temporary workers 2 seasons of employment. If meals need to be provided there will be a $10 per day fee.
