Job description

Beginning of season: Field preparation including laying compost, fertilizers and marking out planting lines. Digging
post holes and setting post for tomatoes to be strung on and grown. Planting plug trays and laying drip tape and
plastic beds.
Ongoing throughout season: Labeling, organizing, and planting seeds. Watering and fertilizing plants. Moving and
carrying plants and soil. Moving and spreading compost. Weeding plants daily. Irrigate and regulate temperatures
for plants. Digging or fixing irrigation lines. Hand removal of pests and bugs from plantings.
Packing and moving vegetables in boxes to walk in coolers. Packing up vans for delivery by others. Worker will be
required to carry heavy baskets to harvest carts as well as supplies of fertilizers, etc. Clean and maintain farm and
property. Repair or assemble new farm structures as needed.
Help feed and water chickens and collect eggs to hand wash daily during the busy season.
