Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: operating various farm equipment such as combines, tractors, semis, sprayers etc, for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing and harvest of crops. Maintain/repair machinery such as oil changes, greasing equipment, general repairs. Grain handling (loading semis from grain bins, sweep auger bins, hauling grain from fields in harvest, operating grain cart). Minor farm construction projects (repairing barns, general maintenance of barns). Maintaining farm grounds, mowing yards and farm field ditches. Cleaning shop, vehicles and equipment. Assist with daily chores of hog building finisher barns (checking feed, water and air, giving shots when needed and checking health of pigs). Help sort pigs and load pigs for market. Assist with general maintenance of hog buildings (replacing electric motors, gate repairs, washing, etc.) Other miscellaneous duties assigned. This job involves manual labor, lifting, long days in the heat. rain days will typically be spent in the shop cleaning, repairing equipment and preparing for the next days work.
