Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive trucks to transport crops and hay to elevator or storage area. Maintain buildings and farm yard.

List of equipment: JD 9400 tractor, JD 4440 tractor, JD 4830 Sprayer, JD 9750 Combine, JD 7720 Combine, JD 1835/1910 Air Seeder, semi-trucks and trailers, 2-ton single axle trucks, grain augers.

Crops: Canola, Chickpeas, Durum, Flax Seed, Lentils, Peas

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
