Beekeeper; Helper

Job description

Duties may include: Medicate, breed, and feed bees, harvest honey, supering, and splitting of colonies. Worker will assist in the moving of colonies, preparation and staging of equipment required in the field. Worker must wear protective clothing such as veils, gloves, and suits provided by the employer. The worker must use smokers, hive tools such as pry bar, and other equipment properly to safely access the colonies as instructed & other related Beekeeper; Helper activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must not be allergic to or have fear of bees.
