Job description

Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as planter, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Operate harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine if qualified. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Maintain and work on center pivot irrigation systems. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Equipment: 2 18Row 1tripr/JD planter combos pulled by 620 Case Quad and 9650 RT. John Deere 8R Tractors. Sunflower Drill. 4830 JD Sprayer. 3 2015 Freightliner SD122 Day Cab. Semi's with automatic transmissions. Case 8250 combine. Multiple Smaller JD tractors/loaders.

Crops: Corn, Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers' expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
