Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Duties may include: May operate all farm equipment including: tractors, combines, sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, mowers, skid steers, and semi's. Will operate conveyors for loading and unloading trucks. Assist with property maintenance involving: mowing, cleaning working areas, maintaining equipment and tools. Assist with fieldwork involving drilling, planting, tilling, and harvesting corn, sorghum and wheat. Load manure spreader with wheel loader and unload/spread manure on field. Driving necessary to assist with moving of larger equipment. Must be able to obtain CDL & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 60lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid Driver's License in the State of New Mexico within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
