Job description

Duties may include: Assist with loading/unloading trucks and crop nutrient rail cars, assist in operating end loaders and forklifts, operate hydrous ammonia riser and load anhydrous ammonia nurse tanks, clean and maintain equipment and trucks, assist with general cleaning duties on premises, assist with sweeping and cleaning of anhydrous ammonia tanks and other equipment, transport product, equipment, or parts from other work locations & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to hazardous materials. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal due to equipment use and safety procedures. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid Driver's License in the State of Illinois within 2 weeks of reporting to work. Hazmat Endorsement preferred, Class A CDL with Tanker and Air Brakes Endorsement preferred.
