Job description

6:30am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch; During grinding, workers will work 7 days per week or 50 hours, with a 1-hour lunch. Workers will perform the following: prepare fields for cultivation (20%); manual shovel work (10%); plant/harvest sugarcane and soybeans (40%); minor maintenance and operation of field equipment (10%); and farm field and shop sanitation duties (20%). Workers must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and kneel repetitively for long periods of time and have three months of farm work experience. Work is to be completed in weather from extreme heat to rain and extreme cold. Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test (at no cost to the worker), as part of fitness for duty and workers safety. Testing positive or failure to comply with the random testing may result in immediate termination from employment. Possibility of work breakdown will not reduce workers guarantee over the life of the contract.
