Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Operate baler. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Equipment: John Deere Tractors 9400, 9520, 9529T, 8520, 7700, 5320, 5300, 3255. John Deere combines (2) 9770, 9610. Trucks (2) freightliner columbia 120, 1-peterbilt, 1-kenworth, (2) ford straight trucks, 1-John Deere air seeder, (1) flexicoil airseeder, (1) Case 4430 Sprayer

Crops: Canola, Corn, Dry Peas, Durum, Flax Seed, Soy Beans, Spring Wheat, Sunflower

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Must have experience driving a semi tractor trailer combination. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
