Job description

Hours are variable Monday-Saturday, 6:30am-5:30pm, with one hour for lunch. Workers must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and kneel repetitively for long periods of time. Duties include planting, harvesting, tilling, clearing, fertilizing, spray drainage, mowing, and bale transport for rice, cotton, soybeans and corn. May inspect, maintain, clean and repair farm equipment, machinery, and vehicles. All work, tools, supplies and equipment provided at no cost to workers. Hours may fluctuate due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns but will not reduce the 3/4 guarantee over the life of the contract. Housing is provided at no cost for workers who cannot reasonably return to permanent residence at end of workday. Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test (at no cost to the worker), as part of fitness for duty and workers safety. Work completed over 3500 to 6000 acres. Drug testing relates to safety assurance in remote environment. Testing positive or failure to comply with the random drug testing may result in immediate termination from employment. Possibility of work breakdown will not reduce workers guarantee over the life of the contract.
