Job description

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, and dining facilities by sweeping, mopping, wiping, and sanitizing, stocking, cleaning kitchen equipment and other cleaning duties as directed. Clean dishes, pots, and sweep and mop floors of the kitchen and dining facilities, and wash walls and ceiling of the kitchen and dining facilities, clean equipment, and coolers. Some storage and stocking of clean dishes and pots required.

Shifts vary and range from 8am-4pm, 6am – 2pm, 10a-6p, 3pm – 11pm. Open 7 days per week. Workdays and shift times will vary. Shifts vary based on business levels, occupancy, and scheduled events. Holiday and weekend shifts are required.

Special Requirements

Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to tolerate areas with high temperatures near dish machine and extreme cold temperatures in coolers and freezers. Must be able to use the chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen areas. Must be able to operate the dish machine. Must be able to be on feet for 8-hour shift. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, push, pull twist and grasp items, while performing kitchen duties, must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and be able to push and pull up to 300 pounds in a cart. Must be able to tolerate area containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality including secondhand smoke.
