Job description
The employee will be required to do physical labor on construction site, such as, construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood and comparable materials, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation. Cleaning obstacles and hazards and loading or unloading construction materials. The employee will be required to maintain and operate construction equipment (ex. scissor lift, telehandler, boom truck, skid steer etc.), along with erecting and dismantling of manual scaffolding and other temporary structures. The job requires the use of electric and battery-operated hand tools, such as saws, drills, planers, grinders, nailers etc. Manual hand tools that are used are the jobs are hammers, screw drivers, saws, levels and ladders reaching upwards of 16 feet, etc. The employee must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. The employee may be asked to pickup construction materials from the vendors at times and the employee must be able to hookup a gooseneck or bumper pull trailer, load the trailer and strap all materials safely and appropriately along with being able to pull and maneuver a trailer around in tight spaces.
