Job description
Duties may include: Follow landscaping plans and designs to care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, mowing, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using hand tools such as shears, pruners and hedge or brush trimmers. Gather and remove litter and debris using shovels and rakes. Haul or spread topsoil over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers. Install rock gardens and planters & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
Special Requirements
Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 60lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or OT.
